Best Pine Tree Golf Courses

GFI What type of golf course do you love to play?

I am a big fan of heather courses, links courses and in general pine tree lined golf courses. Most often than not, pine tree lined golf courses can be found on 'heather' based courses or courses found near to the coast.

This month we take a quick look and highlight a few golf course gems which have pine trees.

At this point in time there is no filter for course trees on the top 100 golf website! Perhaps not a major requirement for most golfers, but the fact is, the fauna and tree type can make a big difference to the look and feel of a golf course.

Pine Ridge Golf Club

Located in Camberley Surrey, a highly competitive county of quality golf courses, Frimley Pines can be found. 6428 yards in length. The homepage states the course is accessible and recently voted within the UK's top 10 public courses to play.

Fox Hills - Long Cross Course

Located in Ottershaw Surrey, this course is narrow at times but has many holes lined with pine trees (Scots pine, silver birch, beech) making the experience impressive. 6742 yards in length from the back tees. The course has recently launched several new membership options which are worth checking out.

St Georges Hill Golf Club

Located in Weybridge Surrey, this course is a true gem featuring high in the top 100 golf rankings, an impressive feat considering Surrey is full of fantastic golf courses. The course features three 9 hole sections, this allows you to make your own 'combo' up to a degree and adds a different dimension to the golf course. The Blue and red combination is 6568 yards from the back tees.
